A trip to Slovenia

Look at the Soča, the transparent river. Still looking gorgeous despite the torrent of water that came down in the summer of 2023. My cheap analog camera and the pellicule did a great job at rendering this fog, and made justice to this water.

Slovenia is the country of birth of my mother’s parents. They moved to Germany together but they didn’t left Slovenia behind. Up in the mountains, we still have a place where we can meet, all of the family.

It’s a melting pot: Germans, Frenchies, Americans, Hungarians, Slovenians of course… lots of different cultures have a little yellow spot that is waiting for them in the middle of the green.

Fabulous. It’s a dream. The nature is truly unscathed. The sky at night is puzzling. There is so much activity we can see with our bare eyes, even explosions of meteorites.

It’s quite the thing to see. Beautiful Slovenia!
